Waveform Interview with Eden Industries

In our site’s very first audio interview, Joseph talks with Ryan Vandendyck, founder of indie game development studio Eden Industries. Ryan recently released his game Waveform on Steam and the response so far has been very positive. Check out the full interview below and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube feed to check out all future audio and video content from The Indie Mine.

Waveform is currently a 2012 Independent Propeller Awards finalist, and for good reason. In our interview, Joe and Ryan talk about what it took to bring the game to its high level of polish and professional execution. The game is currently available on Steam.

With a Master’s in Literacy and B.S. in Education, Joe might not be the typical gamer. However, his love of creating and his personal inquiry into computer science and interactive media have allowed Joe to utilize these skill in the classroom. He has always enjoyed creating amateur games and programs and he’s now taken the leap into the indie scene. As the lead programmer for EpicVessel Gamers, he is continuously seeking to expand his knowledge and understanding of games. He also enjoys finding, playing and writing about anything indie. He finds the creative process of independent developers or small teams to be fascinating.
